Artist Opportunity:
Accepting work (all sizes & mediums) for Permanent Public Mural | CHICAGO ARCHITECTURAL BIENNIAL | Materials provided
Art Depth and the Green Star Movement have partnered up to begin the process of planning and building a large permanent outdoor mosaic, and all artists are invited to contribute to this mural by submitting sustainability or urban farming themed work. The interpretation can be broadened by how you see fit, by taking into consideration how you - the artist - imagine a more sustainable future in Chicago.
When submitting work, keep in mind the theme of the mural which is A MORE SUSTAINABLE CHICAGO and that its main image will likely contain an urban farming scene. Also note that selected images will be transferred onto tiles with the intent of being integrated into this larger mural. The destined location is on Chicago south side next to City Farm's 70th Street location. This mosaic type mural will be a beautiful image to behold and will serve the dual purpose of both increasing awareness about urban farming to the local children, as well as inviting individuals and groups from across the city into the sanctuary of the urban farm.
